Elle entre alors au service du duc Orsino qui, charmé, en fait son confident et lui confie la mission de déclarer sa flamme à la comtesse Olivia. Mais Viola, secrètement amoureuse du duc, s’acquitte si bien de sa tâche qu’Olivia succombe… au messager.

But Cesario/Viola, secretly seduced by the Duke, excels so well in his mission that the Countess falls in love with his ardour...
